CNN’s Brianna Keilar pressed Israeli spokeswoman Tal Heinrich on the aggressive bombing marketing campaign that’s resulting in a growing demise toll in Gaza.
“Tal, whilst you see those photos popping out of Gaza, do you see why some people don’t have hope looking at these photos?” Keilar asked.
“It’s heartbreaking,” Heinrich interjected. “Well, we’re in the course of a struggle that Israel did not start, and didn’t need.”
“It’s prosecuting it forcefully, and you see the pictures right here,” Keilar mentioned, speaking over Heinrich.
Heinrich persevered:
When Hamas began this conflict — hope and peace and a better future for the area — that’s the greatest enemy of terrorists. When we eliminate these terrorists, we do away with the rule of thumb. We hope that there might be other voices, pragmatic ones that need to work with us against peace. That is what we wish. We wish to live on this area peacefully. That’s what Israelis have at all times wanted. However first, Hamas must be long past, after which we hope that the Palestinian society will de-radicalize. We are able to’t have — you already know, what our troops are discovering at this time, on the ground, in sure neighborhoods in Gaza, photos of kids, ladies with weapons, Hamas uniform tailored for kids. And Hamas terrorists that we have arrested—
Keilar interrupted, “Does that make the children justifiable enemies to you? Is that what you’re announcing? Does that make all the youngsters justifiable enemies to you? I mean, you’re elevating the specter of them being used in militia uniform.”
“This is not what I’m announcing. I’m announcing that a Hamas terrorist we are interrogating has admitted within the interrogation that Hamas are exploiting children, they’re the use of them to transport ammunition. That is outrageous! Where is UNICEF? No, after all now not!”
