Some filibuster abortion bills, some march towards them, and some wear tampons on their ears.

On her MSNBC convey Sunday morning, Melissa Harris-Perry brought consideration to Texas’ lately-passed abortion rules—and the burnt orange-clad demonstrators who had fought their passage—in her own manner: with a pair of home made tampon rings.

“My producer Lorena made for me last week some tampon rings,” Harris-Perry said as she placed on the jewelry. “The Texas state legislature said that you couldn’t deliver tampons in, when these girls have been going to, in reality, get up for their very own reproductive rights.”

Throughout a 2d unique session of the Texas legislature, security in the Capitol constructing briefly banned tampons from the rotunda for concern that the female merchandise can be tossed at lawmakers passing the final-minute invoice.
