This weekend saw the best Twitter feud ever when Politico reporter Ben White changed his Twitter profile picture to 1 that made him appear to be he was looking to kill everybody on Twitter with mind bullets, and Chartgirl.com founder Hilary Sargent provided this gentle critique: “@morningmoneyben Meh on the brand new profile pic.”

In response, White delivered a wig-flipping important of William Shatner in an IHOP kitchen.

Sargent notes that, prior to White’s photograph exchange, she had advised Industry Insider to include White in it’s list of Cash Honeys (no corpses allowed model, however that generosity offered her no quarter from White’s neurotic wrath:

“Why would you say something like that? What is the topic with you?” White asks, to which Sargent replies, in successive tweets, “I favored the previous one better. I didn’t say you regarded unpleasant.”

White replied, “I appreciated your previous face higher. ‘@lilsarg: @morningmoneyben I liked the previous one higher.’”

“K. I was once kidding. Calm down. Your face seems fine in each,” Sargent replies.

At this point, it starts to look like maybe White is just the sector’s finest deadpan comic. “meh on your entire existence,” he replies.

After a couple of more reassuring tweets from Sargent, White modified his profile photo back, and tweeted “satisfied now you horrid monster?”

Sensing a put-on, Sargent says “WTF? Inform me you’ve been kidding all alongside so I will be able to breathe a sigh of aid.”

Nope. “Individuals are the worst,” White says, including “@lilsarg is your profile p.c.serious or some more or less joke? as a result of…”

A number of admonitions later, White blocked Sargent. Eventually, he idea higher of it, and stated the error of his ways, apologizing to Sargent in an email, and endorsing her charts on his Twitter feed.

All’s neatly that ends well, I feel, but unless this was Ben White’s first day on Twitter, he must have identified that if the worst thing somebody says about your picture is “meh,” you’re most probably in advance of George Clooney in that regard.
