This isn’t a belated April Fool’s gag: Sean Hannity and Sean Penn had a 24-minute conversation Tuesday night on Fox Information and agreed on near to everything.

Sure, that Sean Hannity — the exact same Hannity who steadily and admiringly interviews former President Donald Trump and his allies. And that Sean Penn — the one who has cozied up to the likes of El Chapo and Hugo Chavez over time.

Hannity mentioned the awkward dynamic right out of the field.

“In case you were on this set, ninety nine out of 100 instances, we most probably would be in full disagreement, right?” Hannity asked.

“No question about that,” Penn responded.

But this, naturally, was once the one-hundredth time, and the two males discovered an excessive amount of widespread ground on Ukraine. Hannity explained that he’d reached out to Penn as a result of he was interested in the documentary which the actor has been filming in Ukraine. The Fox News host recounted the pair’s awkward first trade.

Hannity: Do you keep in mind that what you first stated to me?

Penn: I do.

Hannity: What did you say?

Penn: I mentioned that I don’t belief you.

Hannity: Is there a reason you didn’t trust me?

Penn: Sure, there’s numerous causes I don’t belief you.

But then, Penn sounded a note of cohesion.

“Whilst you step into a rustic of such unbelievable harmony, you realize what we’ve got all been missing,” Penn said. “And I don’t assume that I have received time to indulge my lack of trust, which it turns into a petty factor, as people and infants are being vaporized, and that these persons are preventing for the very desires which are the aspiration of every person Americans.”

And for this reason began a very unlikely 24-minute lovefest between the Seans. The 2 discussed more than a few factors of Russia’s invasion, as Penn talked about meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky simply one day before.

“In him, I saw one thing that I have by no means considered prior to in my lifetime,” Penn said of Zelensky. “That — like I said — having considered him, sure, ready for it, sure, hoping towards hope it could not happen, but a person who had no longer but been challenged with, it’s taking place.

“And the following day, I noticed something that is a man, nevertheless it’s a person with the adrenalized — he’s the face of something that you simply see in the entire Ukrainians we saw and talked to, whether or not they were in uniform, out of uniform, schoolteachers, even youngsters, this out of the ordinary courage that’s come up. And it used to be in his eyes.”

Hannity and Penn went on to agree that the U.S. and the west must step up their efforts to aid the Ukrainians, and supply them with the armed forces equipment they wish to win.

Hannity: And I would supply them the MiGs.

Penn: Yes.

Hannity: So, we’re in agreement.

Penn: We absolutely agree on that.

Hannity: And fight the war to win it.

Penn: That’s proper.

Hannity: And that suggests defeat Russia.

Penn: Or let them struggle it to win it, as a result of they are going to.

Hannity: Smartly, that’s what I’m pronouncing … Let the Ukrainians fight themselves.

The Fox Information host wrapped up the dialog by means of noting that Penn grew very emotional, as he was talking. Hannity told the actor he shared his sentiments.

“As a conservative — fail to remember our political differences — I don’t need to see another lifeless kid in a boulevard, another innocent woman or man lifeless,” Hannity stated. “I don’t need to see any more pictures in my lifetime of mass graves like we’re seeing.”

The host then shared what he known as the Hannity Doctrine.

“In the event you invade a sovereign u . s . a ., you forfeit your proper to guide a country and also you forfeit your right to live, which means Vladimir Putin has forfeited his proper to are living.”

“I don’t want to invest in a conversation, not that I don’t have it privately, about my emotions about what must — what direct motion must happen to a pace-setter who does that,” Penn mentioned. “But when there is a God, there will be vengeance beyond all that you can think of comprehension.”

Hannity thanked Penn, wished him well, and noted the convivial tenor of their interview.

“Subsequent time, we will be able to fight over Hugo Chavez or one thing enjoyable,” Hannity said.

“That’s an enchanting conversation,” Penn said.
