Actor Tony Sirico, known for his function as Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri within the smash HBO drama The Sopranos, died on the age of seventy nine Friday.

Michael Imperioli, who starred alongside Sirico on the convey for seven seasons as Christopher Moltisanti, made an announcement on social media Friday night time. Imperioli wrote,

It pains me to say that my expensive pal, colleague and associate in crime, the nice TONY SIRICO has handed away today. Tony was like nobody else: he was once as tricky, as loyal and as big hearted as someone i’ve ever identified. I was at his side via so much: through just right times and bad.

But mostly good. And we had plenty of laughs. We discovered a groove as Christopher and Paulie and I am proud to assert I did quite a lot of my easiest and most fun work with my pricey good friend Tony. I’ll pass over him without end. He is truly irreplaceable. I ship love to his family, friends and his many many fans. He was cherished and can never be forgotten. Heartbroken these days.

Imperioli and Sirico starred together in an episode of The Sopranos in 2001 that was hailed by using each enthusiasts and critics.
