California Gov. Gavin Newsom is launching a podcast with retired NFL star Marshawn Lynch and Doug Hendrickson — Lynch’s agent and a longtime good friend of Newsom.
The podcast, named Politickin’, used to be introduced Wednesday by using iHeartMedia. Consistent with NFL insider Adam Schefter, it’s been in the works for months.
“Newsom and Hendrickson were friends for the reason that ’90s,” Schefter tweeted. “Hendrickson has represented Lynch on the grounds that 2007. They’ve been engaged on this podcast for the previous six months.”

In a minute-long teaser introducing themselves, Lynch explained that the podcast is set “bridging gaps.”
“You sit down down, you come to the roundtable. We need to determine it out,” Lynch mentioned. “I wish to figure out the place you’re coming from. However you wish to determine where he’s coming from. Your ‘politickin’ could be slightly however completely different, you feel me? You deal with yours a special approach. We carry each facet, all walks of lifestyles — like how we’re doing at this time — and we work out what we acquired occurring; and what I’m gonna call that’s ‘politickin.’ No longer as a result of he’s a baby-kisser, but because that’s just what we do.”
Newsom brought, “We obtained so much to do collectively at this time.”
In the podcasts’ description, it says the weekly show will involve “conversations that need to be had.” The first episode premieres July 15.
