MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown host Chuck Todd wondered Tuesday morning, both on-air and by using tweet, if the click corps had been extra desirous about a contested Democratic major than Democratic voters, who overwhelmingly want Hillary Clinton:

Todd’s musings built off an “Elizabeth Warren boomlet,” wherein the freshman senator from Massachusetts has been floated in recent days as a aggressive liberal alternative to Clinton in the 2016 primaries.

“Seem, no one in our industry likes to cover a coronation,” Washington Post’s Ruth Marcus stated. “We wish to duvet a brawl. So I’m paying money for the “Christie/Cruz Smackdown Tour of 2016.” So, yeah, it’s now not going to be a fascinating Democratic main except there are some credible candidates. And the way way more enjoyable would it not be for us if it’s two credible girls candidates?”

“There’s something about presidential primaries, too, that if they’re each competitive there is a group of voters that vacillate between which major to participate in,” Todd stated. “There are going to be some unbiased-leaning Democrats to decide to play within the Republican a main. That’s going to be just right news for Chris Christie.”
