Outgoing U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) discovered himself face-to-face with pupil protesters on the University of Florida, the place he’ll transform the school’s subsequent president. Sasse will resign from the Senate later this year to take the submit.

Seminera reported that sooner than the protestors entered the room, Sasse used to be peppered with questions from faculty about some of his earlier comments, which incorporated feedback to high school students advising them not to major in psychology. Sasse was also questioned about whether or not he’s committed to hiring more racial minorities to the varsity’s faculty.
