Vice President Kamala Harris flip-flopped once more on coverage, Thursday, this time rejecting her earlier place on the banning of plastic straws.
A Harris campaign professional told Axios that the vice president no longer stood via her earlier toughen for the banning of plastic straws, which she brazenly expressed right through her 2019 Democratic presidential primary campaign.
“She doesn’t toughen banning plastic straws,” the official stated. “She solid the tie-breaking vote on the most consequential regulation to fight local weather exchange and create easy power jobs in history, and as President, she’s going to be excited by increasing on that growth.”
The authentic introduced, “She joked even then about how crappy paper straws are and the wish to give you higher eco-pleasant choices.”
After CNN asked Harris in 2019 whether she would ban plastic straws as president, the then-presidential candidate replied, “I think we must. Yes.”
New: When Harris ran in 2020, she said plastic straws will have to be banned.
These days, her campaign informed Axios that's now not her place.

She persisted, “I think shall we do a little bit higher than some of these flimsy [paper] straws, but we do want to ban the plastic.”
In recent months, Harris has again and again walked back on some of her previous policy positions, together with fracking and the construction of a border wall.
This week, Harris flip-flopped all over again over a mandate for electrical vehicles.
