Newsweek opinion editor Batya Ungar-Sargon, who has been effusive in her praise for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s policy platform, said she would possibly not vote for him on account of his associations with Laura Loomer and Tucker Carlson all through a livestream for The Free Press on Thursday.
Ungar-Sargon launched into a livid rant after host Michael Moynihan questioned aloud if there was once “any individual to keep some of these real cranks out of the birthday celebration.”
“What’s superb is what we’re seeing presently is a reversal of 2016, as a result of it was that the Democrats, who had been catering to the elites, had been method too on-line, had been constantly tacking way too far to the left to appeal to the super on-line crowd, and consequently pushing all of this identification politics,” she commenced. “And then 2020, defund the police, you know, decriminalize unlawful border crossing crap that Americans hate, because they were super on-line. And meanwhile, Trump was cleaning up with the working type. And at this time you may have Donald Trump terminally on-line speaking about Haitians consuming cats and Kamala Harris totally disavowing id politics, definitely disavowing unique pleading, totally tacking to the center, disavowing herself, through the way in which, from 2020, because the Democrats have read the room, right? And not the web room, right?”
She persevered:
And meanwhile, the messaging to Trump is coming from within the airplane. You know, I used to be asked recently on a conservative show, “So that you’re voting for Trump?” And I mentioned, “No, I’m an undecided voter.” I’m not going to vote for anyone whose closest adviser is tweeting that the White House is gonna odor like curry.
And I’m not going to vote for any person whose vice president can’t disavow a Holocaust minimizer/denier. I’m sorry, I’m no longer going to do it. And I’m the individual — I’m one of the most individuals who I feel I could have accomplished a greater job representing Trump at that debate than Trump did. I mean, I am this kind of fan of his policy, however you can not go back and forth on a aircraft with an individual who says the White House goes to scent like curry. I’m sorry, but it’s a total pink line.
And you know why I’m so indignant? Because his platform is a consensus platform. His agenda is a harmony agenda. He’s operating with Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. after which he’s sitting on a airplane with a racist! It’s so unacceptable and disappointing. It is a betrayal, it’s a betrayal of his agenda and the working type American citizens who depend on him to fortify the lives of their kids.
Skilled conspiracy theorist and virulent bigot Loomer accompanied Trump to his debate with Harris on Tuesday evening. She followed that up with a tweet about how the White House would possibly odor like curry if Harris was once elected president.

Ungar-Sargon had previously criticized Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance over his qualified security of Tucker Carlson for platforming and praising a World Battle II revisionist who minimized the Holocaust.
“It’s a dishonest strawman to say individuals are looking to censor the fellow who thinks Hitler is in Heaven. The view is the longer term vice chairman of the US must distance himself from these lavishly praising that man’s content,” she wrote after Vance tried to border the criticism of Carlson as “censorship.”
