Some girls who settled with Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson plan to be in attendance for his first game back from an 11-game suspension.

Watson used to be suspended for violating the league’s non-public conduct coverage, in an agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA, after he was once accused via more than 20 ladies of committing sexual assault during therapeutic massage remedy.

Watson will play his former crew, the Houston Texans, in his first recreation back from the eleven-recreation suspension. The sport might be played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represented 25 of the women who filed proceedings towards Watson, stated that some of his shopper who settled proceedings towards Watson plan to attend the sport on Sunday.

When requested why some ladies would attend the game, Buzbee said, “to more or less make a statement, ‘hi there, we’re nonetheless here. We matter. Our voice was heard, and this isn’t something that’s over. [Sexual harassment and assault] happen daily in the USA.’”

When the alleged incidents came about, Watson was nonetheless a member of the Texans. More than 20 ladies alleged that Watson tried to kiss them, contact them, or expose himself to them once they gave him a massage.

Out of the 25 ladies who filed a lawsuit against Watson, 23 settled out of court, one girl dropped her case in opposition to Watson, and one declined to settle. Buzbee thinks her case will go to trial.

Buzzbee added that the women declined to remark.

In March, Watson used to be traded to the Browns from the Texans and endured to disclaim any wrongdoing. Two Texas grand juries didn’t indict Watson on any fees.

In October, Watson confronted a new sexual misconduct charge filed in Texas regarding a 2020 massage.
