In a brand new holiday e-mail advert, The Nation invokes everyday left-wing boogeywoman Ayn Rand to induce people to purchase subscriptions to their “proudly impartial,” “painstakingly fair” journal. The centerpiece of the ad is an outdated black-and-white picture of a go well with-wearing man studying Atlas Shrugged with two young children peering over his shoulder.
