Political commentator Angela Rye stated that it could be a “mistake” to “let White other folks get away the accountability that they need to face for now not showing up to keep democracy themselves” by means of vote casting for Vice President Kamala Harris.

CNN anchor Victor Blackwell spoke with Rye Saturday, asking her about former President Barrack Obama’s recent comments singling out Black men for inadequate make stronger of Harris’s campaign. Blackwell asked Rye if it was a mistake for Obama to make these important remarks.

Rye answered, “I feel that it’s excellent that President Obama is out hitting the trail for democracy, frankly. And what I feel is a mistake is to let White people get away the accountability that they must face for now not showing up to keep democracy themselves.”

Rye argued that White folks “want to get mad” when candidates “don’t wear a flag lapel pin,” but aren’t doing “their part” to “keep democracy.”

“We are doing our section,” she mentioned. “It’s time for White other people to turn their ire and their attention to each other to make sure they also do their section.”

BLACKWELL: Speaking of of laying this at the ft of Black males and trustworthy conversations, former President Obama used to be back out last evening. That is the first time considering that he was once in Pittsburgh and invoked the opportunity of sexism in his enchantment to Black men to strengthen the vice president.

RYE: You know, I think that it’s glorious that President Obama is out hitting the trail for democracy, frankly. And what I believe is a mistake is to let White other people get away the accountability that they have to face for now not showing as much as save democracy themselves.

Like, they need to get mad at presidential candidates, proper, once they don’t put on a flag lapel pin or they don’t see you pledging allegiance to the flag. That’s what they wish to get upset about. Now, the face of patriotism to them looks like seeking to tear down the Capitol in a terrorist assault on January 6th, 2021.

So the duty of saving democracy must be on the biggest demographic in this u . s .. That is White males and White women. I don’t wish to see a girls’s march with pussy hats come January if something doesn’t go right. What I need to see is for them to march their selves to the polls, including these days.

We are in Detroit, Michigan, for an early vote rally in Michigan. Early vote casting begins next Saturday, which is my birthday, Victor, But as of late in Detroit begins lately. There’s an incredible event at Pistons Land. We will be able to be adjacent to that experience talking to oldsters, Detroit voters, about what they want to hear in regards to the agendas that topic to them, in regards to the economy, about well being care, about making certain that democracy is preserved, even if it’s no longer excellent.

We’re doing our phase. It’s time for White people to turn their ire and their consideration to one another to make sure in addition they do their section.
