CNN’s Scott Jennings argued that Democrats had cried wolf on regarding high Republicans as Hitler so time and again that the general public had no urge for food for a Tuesday file former President Donald Trump had previously praised the dictator in personal.

Retired Gen. John Kelly, Trump’s one-time White House chief of body of workers, advised The New York Times on Tuesday that the 2024 GOP nominee as soon as told him Hitler “did some excellent things.”

Kelly’s remarks drove a lot of the information cycle into Wednesday, and after they reached CNN’s OutFront, Jennings instructed host Erin Burnett that linking Republicans to fascism had lost its bite.

The GOP strategist concluded he had grown “callus” on being linked to Nazism as an identical accusations had been thrown at his former boss George W. Bush. Jennings stated:

Now I’m callus on this Hitler business as a result of I lived throughout the Bush years and I used to look out my window onto Pennsylvania Avenue and I noticed everybody marching around of their brown uniforms, signs up, Bush is Hitler! Bush is Hitler! And then they did it to John McCain. They did it to Mitt Romney. They’ve completed it to Donald Trump, they even did it to Paul Ryan, I don’t forget at one point. So, I’ve heard all of it before.

Jennings then doubled down on comments he made Tuesday that drew scorn from his community colleague Jim Sciutto. Jennings equated professional-Palestinian protestors to Nazis.

“I believe the rationale Democrats are freaking out about it at this time is as a result of what they have realized is that it’s now not Republicans who’re the Hitler’s or the Nazis. It’s in truth emanating from inside their very own celebration. If you want to find Hitler-ish, Nazi-esque, anti-semitic inclinations, seem on the left, now not the fitting.”
