President Joe Biden’s White Home torched Republicans over South Carolina GOP Rep. Ralph Norman’s name for martial legislation, published in a misspelled text that suggested “Marshall Regulation” to keep then-President Donald Trump in place of business.
In a trove of lately-printed text messages published by TPM, Norman urged Trump declare martial regulation in a textual content message to former White Home Chief of Group of workers Mark Meadows.
“Mark, in seeing what’s happening so fast, and reading about the Dominion law suits attempting to forestall any meaningful investigation we’re at some degree of … no return … in saving our Republic !! Our LAST HOPE is invoking Marshall Regulation!! PLEASE URGE TO PRESIDENT TO DO SO!!” Norman wrote on January 17, 2021, 4 days sooner than President Biden’s inauguration.
The White House slammed Norman and all different “extremely MAGA conspiracy theories” in response.
In a remark emailed to Mediaite, White Home Deputy Press Secretary and Senior Communications Guide For Strategic Response Andrew Bates wrote “Plotting towards the guideline of legislation and to subvert the need of the individuals is a disgusting affront to our deepest principles as a rustic. We all, in spite of birthday party, wish to stand up for mainstream values and the Constitution, against dangerous, ultra MAGA conspiracy theories and violent rhetoric.”
