Fox Industry host Stuart Varney pushed back against a GOP lawmaker over claims that Republican will reduce $2 trillion from the annual finances.

Rep. Chum Carter (R-GA) joined Varney for an interview on the business community on Thursday morning where he discussed the opportunity of pushing through large budget cuts if Donald Trump regains the presidency.

In the past, Elon Musk vowed to do away with approximately $2 trillion from the federal funds if Trump wins this November. The GOP nominee has vowed to appointment Musk to guide an effort to chop govt spending, called the Division of Executive Effectivity.

Varney gave the impression skeptical of the potential of taking out that amount of cash from the federal funds all the way through his Thursday interview with Carter.

VARNEY: There’s standard skepticism that he can in truth get this accomplished. Can you inform me how he’s going to chop 2 trillion out of the funds?

CARTER: Smartly, initially, it may be done. We can reduce 2 trillion out of the price range. Remember now the the Biden-Harris administration-
