A Texas woman who made nationwide headlines when she was jailed for refusing to close her salon right through the Covid pandemic is headed to the state legislature after she trounced her Democratic opponent on Tuesday.
State Rep.-opt for Shelley Luther was jailed for running a Dallas salon except Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott received involved. Luther closed the salon for a month however ultimately made up our minds to open her doors and herself to the city’s then-strict well being measures.
