Former Vice President Mike Pence will reportedly fight a Department of Justice subpoena in search of his testimony in its investigation into former President Donald Trump’s actions best as much as the 2021 Capitol rebel.

On Tuesday’s version of The ReidOut on MSNBC, Pleasure Reid said Pence, who’s widely viewed as a possible 2024 presidential candidate, is resisting the subpoena as a result of he must woo Trump’s voters.

Trump already declared his candidacy in November.

“Mike Pence must combat this as a result of he’s running for president,” she mentioned. “And he needs so as to tell the Trump base, ‘No, no, no, I was dragged kicking and screaming into testifying in opposition to Trump. ‘I really like Trump. Yeah, he tried to get me hung, but that’s adequate, I forgive him. I’m a Christian.’”

Guest and Democratic strategist Kurt Bardella agreed:

That is someone who is so determined to get the votes of the those that needed to hold him that he’s willing to look the opposite direction and do everything he can to avoid making sure that the people who find themselves if truth be told answerable for sending a deadly violent mob after him are in a position to escape accountability, to avoid justice.

In the two months prime up to Congress’ certification of the 2020 election on Jan. 6, 2021, Trump falsely insisted the election had been rigged against him. He held a rally in Washington, D.C. that morning and advised his supporters to march to the Capitol and “convey potential.”

Trump again and again claimed that as presiding officer over certification, Pence could invalidate the election’s outcomes. After Pence attempted no such factor, Trump’s supporters broke out into chants of “Hang Mike Pence!” as a gallows was stationed outside the Capitol.

Bardella delivered that “it just says the whole thing” about the former vp, stating that one would suppose Pence will have to want these liable for inciting and finishing up an insurrection to be held to account.

“You will have to volunteer to tell any individual and everyone about what happened, who used to be in the back of it, what you heard, and to be sure that they are able to by no means hold energy once more,” he stated. “And he’s doing the exact reverse. He’s a coward.”
