Conservative commentator and 2016: Obama’s The united states author Dinesh D’Souza trolled the web Tuesday afternoon with a tweet declaring his thankfulness that America will recover from having what he considers an adult model of the late Trayvon Martin in the White Home.

“I’m grateful this week when I understand that America is sufficiently big and great sufficient to survive Grown-Up Trayvon in the White House!” the former King’s College president declared via Twitter:

For those who someway don’t understand: Trayvon was once the black teen shot and killed with the aid of George Zimmerman all the way through a February 2012 war of words in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman used to be acquitted of 2d-level murder expenses after an intense, racially-charged debate and trial.

As such, D’Souza’s tweet got a number of indignant responses:
