After being sworn-in as the new Secretary of Safeguard, Pete Hegseth dodged a question from a reporter about whether or not girls in the armed services will have to trust him.

Hegseth was once narrowly confirmed as the following chief of the Safety Division on Friday evening after receiving a 50-50 tie —  causing Vice President JD Vance to solid the finding out vote.

Throughout the nomination process, Hegseth faced allegations of sexual misconduct and substance abuse. Hegseth denied any wrongdoing regarding sexual misconduct allegations while claiming he not drinks alcohol. Three Republican senators joined the Democratic caucus in balloting towards Hegseth.

Right through his swearing-in ceremony in DC on Saturday morning, a reporter asked the new Pentagon leader if ladies within the armed services will have to belief him. Alternatively, Vance speedy stepped in and answered on behalf of Hegseth.

REPORTER: Why must girls within the armed services and products belief?

VANCE: Let me answer that for the new secretary. All individuals in our armed products and services must trust him because he appears to be like out for them, and he’s going to battle for them. He’s going to ensure we have the roughly defense force that we are able to all be proud of and that, once more, when we send them to do a job, we do it smartly.
