Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly recommended that the network misplaced half of its target audience after firing Tucker Carlson and described the rankings state of affairs at Fox News as a “massacre.”

Brian Stelter, the former media correspondent for CNN, mentioned on Thursday that Fox News’ 8pm rankings dropped from 2.65 million on Friday – Carlson’s closing show – to 2.fifty nine million on Monday, 1.70 million on Tuesday, and 1.33 million on Wednesday.

Kelly reacted by noting that the drop in viewers had been much more extreme when in comparison with Carlson’s final Monday and Tuesday presentations.

Carlson obtained three.174 million complete viewers, with 445,000 in the 25-54 demo, during his Monday, April 17 show. On Tuesday, April 18, Tucker Carlson Tonight acquired 3.223 million complete viewers and 481,000 in the demo – just about twice as many viewers as Fox News’ April 25, 8pm substitute show hosted by way of Brian Kilmeade.

Kelly, who left Fox Information in 2017, called the network’s resolution to section methods with Carlson on Monday a “horrific transfer” and a “huge error.”
