Chris Christie resorted to the form of political name-calling that former President Donald Trump was so efficient at, calling the forty fifth president a “liar and a coward” for misleading his supporters on his contemporary indictment over alleged mishandling of labeled documents.

The former New Jersey Governor, and as soon as close political ally to Trump,  regarded on CNN’s State of the Union and was once requested to opine on a clip of Trump pronouncing at a rally, “Every time the novel left Democrats, Marxists, communists, and fascists indict me, I consider it to be a perfect badge of honor and braveness. I’m doing it for you. I’m being indicted for you. Better me than you. Right?”

“Badge of honor and courage. Better than higher me than you,” host Jake Tapper repeated before asking, “What do you’re making of that?”

Christie didn’t demur in reply, announcing:

He’s a liar and a coward. He’s now not giving interviews for anyone rather then on account of his own conduct. There’s no different of the 200 million Americans you spoke about who illegally retained classified national secrets after being requested in a well mannered way, quietly and professionally for 18 months to voluntarily turn them again over after he left the White Home. There’s no other of these 200 million Americans who lied to their very own lawyers about the place those paperwork have been. And there’s none of those different 200 million Americans who lied to the prosecutors about it and flashed around documents relating to an Iranian conflict plan to people who didn’t have the clearance to peer them. Appear, he’s indicted because of his outrageous conduct, and that’s why he’s been indicted. He now has the opportunity to go to court docket and make the government proves that case beyond a reasonable doubt. But now he says he doesn’t need to have a trial unless after the election in 2024. I don’t think he’s doing that for us both.
