Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) threw down in a brutal back and forth toward the top of Wednesday night’s second GOP presidential debate.
“Nikki offered a 10% gas tax increase in South Carolina. Talk about someone who has by no means viewed a federal dollar she doesn’t like. $0.10 on the gallon in South Carolina,” Scott mentioned at one point, addressing an past change between him and Haley.
“Carry it, Tim,” Haley interjected.
“Because the U.N. ambassador, you literally put $50,000 on curtains and had a $15 million subsidized location,” Scott persevered.
“You got unhealthy knowledge. To begin with, I fought the gasoline tax in South Carolina more than one instances against the institution,” Haley shot again.
“Simply go to YouTube,” insisted Scott.
“Against the establishment. And you want to know what that ten cents used to be after they wouldn’t pass the fuel tax. The establishment, the businesses needed me to do it so much that I said the one method I’ll go it is if,” Haley continued as Scott interrupted, including, “All it’s a must to do is go watch Nikki Haley on YouTube.”
Haley persisted, pronouncing she told the “institution” she would do the gas tax if they gave her “three times the deduction in earnings tax, then I will take a look at your gasoline tax, which is why it didn’t happen.”
Scott and Haley then started speaking over each other.
“Secondly!” Haley insisted seeking to proceed.
“Secondly, on the curtains, do your homework Tim, as a result of Obama bought those,” she brought.
“Did you ship them back?” demanded Scott, “Did you send them again?”
“It’s the State Department, did you ship them again? You’re the person who works in Congress. You get it accomplished,” Haley charged.
“They were there before I even showed up on the residence,” she added as Scott spoke over her.
“You might be scrapping,” she concluded as Scott and other candidates started out speaking suddenly.
Moderator Dana Perino declared, “Cue the tune,” as the talk descended into chaos.
“We do not intend to head beforehand like this? In reality, we’re about to take a commercial wreck. We’ll have more of the second Republican debate live from the Reagan Presidential Library in only some moments,” concluded moderator Stuart Varney.
