Former federal prosecutor and current MSNBC criminal analyst Glenn Kirschner told SiriusXM radio host Dean Obeidallah that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is as a minimum “an accessory after the very fact” to former President Donald Trump’s crimes, and he hopes Special Advice Jack Smith “goes scorched earth” investigating Jordan and other GOP lawmakers.

The political world was once surprised Tuesday evening when Speaker of the House Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was voted out as speaker of the House and then introduced he would no longer run for the place once more. Jordan and Rep. Steve Scalise are the best contenders to switch him.

On Friday’s version of The Dean Obeidallah Exhibit, Kirschner spoke to Obeidallah about Jordan, accusing him and different GOP participants of probably committing crimes round Jan. 6 — and Jordan of overlaying up:

DEAN OBEIDALLAH: And really very last thing, whilst you look at what the January 6 record lays out in the case of evidence, they gathered, quite a few it in accordance with sworn testimony. I mean, is there a good faith argument to make that Jim Jordan is in fact a codefendant in Donald Trump’s January 6 associated crimes?

GLENN KIRSCHNER: All day long, all day, each day. And the one one that is aware of for sure whether there’s enough proof to charge him is Jack Smith and his staff. I’m fairly certain they’ve been investigating the insurrectionists in Congress. Remember, 6 of them, they’re now not all still in Congress, asked for pardons as a result of they knew they’d committed crimes on and around January sixth and they wished to get away with those crimes.

Jack Smith can’t flip a blind eye to all of that. So, you realize, the other thing that Jim Jordan has completely been doing is trying to quilt up and prevent Donald Trump from being held responsible for his crimes. In a very actual experience, he’s been an accessory after the fact to Donald Trump’s crimes via growing this Mickey Mouse committee on the weaponization of government. So there I feel there are any choice of crimes that Jim Jordan can have committed. And I hope Jack Smith is going scorched earth after these crimes.
