Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) mentioned all the way through a contemporary podcast interview that Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is “bad” for the republic because of his reinforce of Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud.

“Some of the the reason why any person like Mike Johnson is unhealthy is as a result of when you have elected Republicans who know better, elected Republicans who comprehend the truth but but will go along with the efforts to undermine our republic, the efforts, frankly, that Donald Trump undertook to overturn the election,” Cheney brought.
Trump, who initially backed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) for speaker following Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) ouster, congratulated Johnson after he received enough votes to develop into speaker.
