Current company president Jim Wong will step down. The function of CEO will probably be abolished with its duties transferred to the corporate chairman or president, the corporate said. "Both J.T. Wang and Jim Wong have dedicated to stay with Acer as advisors to make sure a clean transition and switch of the administration crew and to help the corporate back to stability," the remark mentioned, also noting that Shih will not take any income for his new function.
