New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan sat down with NBC News’ David Gregory for a taping of Sunday’s Meet the Press the place he reportedly confessed that the Catholic Church has been “out-marketed” on the difficulty of gay marriage. He lamented that opponents of the church’s position on comparable-intercourse marriage were ready to caricature the church as being “anti-homosexual.”

“Whatever the church teachings, do you assume this is evolving in this sort of means that it’s in a roundabout way going to be prison in every single place?” Gregory requested Dolan.

“I think I’d be a Pollyanna to assert that there doesn’t appear to be roughly a stampede to do this,” Dolan mentioned of the u . s .’s rising acceptance of homosexual marriage. “I remorseful about that.”

When requested why the Church’s place on marriage is increasingly being rejected by means of the American public, Dolan said that they’ve been unable to compete with professional-homosexual marriage messaging.

“Well, I think perhaps we’ve been out-marketed from time to time,” Dolan confessed. “We’ve been caricatured as being anti-gay.”

“You probably have forces like Hollywood, when you’ve got forces like politicians, if you have forces like some opinion-molders which might be behind it, it’s a tricky combat,” he introduced.
