CNN’s Jeremy Diamond mentioned on the picture images out of Rafah showing the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a campsite for displaced people who resulted in at least forty five deaths.

Israeli Top Minister Benjamin Netanyahu known as the strike a “tragic mistake” on Monday and said it is being investigated.

“Their blood-curdling screams tell the story of the unfolding horror more than words ever may,” Diamond said as Palestinians can be heard screaming and considered fighting fires left in the wake of the strike. “However it’s only after our bodies are pulled out of the inferno that the size of this attack becomes clear.”

The strikes flattened a block of makeshift shelters the place the displaced Palestinians had been housed.

Israel’s strikes on Gaza have led to hundreds of civilian deaths and requires a ceasefire. Netanyahu has mentioned the strikes will continue unless Hamas is eradicated. The fear team attacked Israel on Oct. 7, killing more than 1,000 and kidnapping tons of of others.

The Israeli defense force said the Rafah strike killed two senior Hamas members. Civilian casualties were not expected.

“So many kids writhing in pain,” Diamond mentioned as he confirmed two youngsters being treated after the strike, one so badly burned he may no longer open his eyes.

One guardian will be considered operating through the health center looking to get help with his child.

“After which there are the parents, determined to save lots of babies whose cries had been silenced, possibly endlessly,” Diamond said.

One of the most displaced Palestinians told CNN they were advised to move to the site and insisted it could be secure after he had to evacuate significant Gaza. One Palestinian who misplaced his brother and sister-in-law informed cameras there “is not any security in Gaza.”
