New Jersey Govenor Chris Christie simply picked up his tallest endorsement yet in his campaign for reelection: Shaquille O’Neal.
O’Neal was once born in Newark, and previously assisted Christie in state initiatives, including an after-faculty lunch application in Camden.
The basketball celebrity counseled Christie in a marketing campaign ad through which he concedes that he doesn’t regularly contain himself in politics, but is making an exception for Christie—who, it should be delivered, is a long way ahead of his opponent Barbara Buono in the polls:
“He’s a good man,” O’Neal said, after checklist his reasons for supporting Christie, including school funding and benefit pay for lecturers. “Excuse me—he’s an ideal man.”
