Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie laid out his recreation plan for defeating former President Donald Trump in the Republican presidential main.
Christie, who misplaced to Trump in the 2016 GOP primary before endorsing him, spoke at St. Anselm’s School in New Hampshire on Monday.
Trump declared his candidacy in November. Up to now, he has drawn Nikki Haley – his former ambassador to the United Countries – as an opponent. It’s broadly believed a number of other Republicans will problem the previous president, together with Christie, perhaps.
“You higher have somebody on that stage who can do to him what I did to Marco because that’s the only thing that’s gonna defeat Donald Trump,” Christie told the target market, regarding a impressive moment from a major debate in 2016 where he gave Sen. “And so, if I run again, I will’t imagine that I might continue to do it the same manner,” he endured. “However this time if I run, I’d just hope that you simply come to a better conclusion than you did the remaining time.”
Christie’s remarks elicited laughs from the group.
The 2016 New Hampshire primary was once won by using Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who used to be Trump’s closing opponent standing before he suspended his campaign.
