MSNBC’s Chris Hayes interviewed a Donald Trump supporter who took up Mike Lindell’s problem in 2021 to disprove his claims about voter fraud within the 2020 election. The MyPillow CEO supplied $5 million to someone who succeeded in the “Prove Mike Wrong” problem.
On Thursday, an arbitration panel dominated that Robert Zeidman, a 63-yr-old pc forensics knowledgeable had achieved just that. Lindell stated he’ll enchantment the ruling in his effort not to pay up.
Later on All In, Hayes requested Zeidman how he came to accept Lindell’s problem.
“I actually was once getting plenty of power from friends as a result of this is my box,” he responded. “I’m a forensic scientist and I testify in courtroom. They usually kept telling me, ‘You wish to go.’ Some of them mentioned, ‘Chances are you’ll win $5 million.’ And my response was, ‘If he’s offering $5 million, he’s received the the proof, so I’m not gonna win it.’ Anyway, three days of a convention is just not sufficient time to look at all the data that he used to be allegedly exhibiting.”
Zeidman, who noted he’s going to no longer vote for Trump again, said he in a roundabout way modified his thoughts.
“What in reality used to be the proof here?” Hayes requested.
Zeidman replied:
Well, what was introduced was quite a few files… Everybody checked out this and stated, ‘This isn’t what we anticipated. It’s nothing about the election.” Most of us didn’t comprehend what it used to be. However I began doing some easy transformations, and every time I did a change, I acquired one thing that I recognized. And ultimately I discovered that many of the files had been Phrase documents. One was once a table of numbers that had been principally meaningless. Every other one used to be a whole bunch or hundreds of pages the place it appeared like any person had been randomly typing letters into a report.
[HAYES LAUGHS]
But then there was a change, a number of transformations performed. So, when it used to be handed to us it seemed like, “Oh, some roughly sophisticated laptop data.” And so, inside just a few hours, I slipped out of the room where everybody was once having a look over the data, I went back to the resort write up a file. And I known as my wife and I talked to her quietly. And I mentioned, “Begin desirous about you wanna do with $5 million.”
Zeidman brought that the data he looked at had nothing to do with the election.
When he tried to assemble the $5 million prize from Lindell, he was instructed he failed the challenge. Zeidman called the response “beautiful ludicrous.”
“It didn’t make any sense,” he said, sooner than explaining the agreement he signed with the “Prove Mike Wrong” organizers included an arbitration clause.
“The arbitrators didn’t purchase it,” he said, regarding Thursday’s ruling in his choose.
“I met the problem,” Zeidman mentioned. “As a result of that was once straightforward.”
Hayes chuckled and thanked his visitor.
