Senate Minority Chief Chuck Schumer (D-NY) ripped President Donald Trump for a “chilling purge” of over a dozen unbiased inspectors across the chief department.

On late Friday evening, the Trump administration removed roughly 17 inspectors common from multiple departments, including State, Protection, Transportation, and Vitality departments. The job of these inspectors is to study businesses for abuse of power and fraud.

“At the hours of darkness of evening, President Trump fired at the least 12 impartial inspector generals at vital federal companies across the Administration,” Schumer wrote on X on Saturday. “A chilling purge. It’s a preview of the lawless method Donald Trump and his administration is taking to being President.”

“I don’t bear in mind why one would fire people whose mission it is to root out waste, fraud and abuse. This leaves a gap in what I do know is a priority for President Trump,” Collins instructed newshounds on Capitol Hill on Saturday. “So, I don’t remember it.”
