CNN said on Thursday that accused UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione needed to make a choice from “rooster parmesan or a dish referred to as pizza beans” for dinner in his cell at State Correctional Establishment Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
Reporting on the accused killer’s conditions at the jail, CNN nationwide correspondent Jason Carroll reported that Mangione used to be at the moment being confined in a 15 x 6 foot cell with a bed, sink, rest room, and desk, and that he was no longer interacting with other inmates.
“Meals at the facility are served three times a day: 6:15, 10:forty, and supper at 5:15,” stated Carroll. “Tonight on the menu, Mangione has a choice between hen parmesan and a dish known as pizza beans.”
Carroll persevered, “The Department of Corrections says Mangione has taken his meals in his cell and isn’t interacting with other inmates, adding, ‘All inmates are afforded time out of doors their cells although they are the next custody stage.’”
Mangione is being held at Huntingdon as he awaits extradition to New York. Mangione is accused of capturing and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a Long island sidewalk last week before fleeing to Pennsylvania.
Mangione was arrested in Altoona after being known at a McDonald’s. All the way through the arrest, police discovered a manifesto, a firearm similar to the one used within the killing of Thompson, and a couple of fake IDs.
NewsNation’s Alex Caprariello spoke to a few inmates at Huntingdon on Wednesday after they shouted, “Free Luigi!” and “Luigi’s stipulations suck!” from a window.
“That is the strangest interview I’ve ever carried out,” remarked Caprariello.
