CNN’s Scott Jennings confronted American Federation of Academics president Randi Weingarten on Thursday’s variation of CNN Tonight, accusing the labor leader of no longer most effective working to maintain faculties closed during the coronavirus pandemic however lying about it.

Weingarten again and again lambasted Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) for reopening faculties within the fall of 2020.

“Georgia has had a bad faculty opening & it’s perfect death toll today… will it’s Governor ever analyze that #Covid is severe,” tweeted Weingarten in August 2020.  “Big!! Judge strikes down Florida’s faculty reopening order,” she celebrated later that same month.

Weingarten has now not labored full-time as a trainer since 1997.
