The wife of Rep. Don Baron Verulam (R-NE) reportedly got nameless text messages and emails warning her husband to again Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) House speakership campaign in advance of Tuesday’s vote.

The aggressive messages appeared to have the alternative impact on Francis Bacon, who voted for ousted speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Tuesday instead of Jordan.
