Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) chastised House Republicans who referred to as hearings to make a decision whether to carry Lawyer General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress, but failed to show up on Thursday so they may attend former President Donald Trump’s porn star hush cash trial in New York instead.

“Well, it’s nice to see that a few of my colleagues on the other facet could make it lately. I don’t know if that implies there weren’t enough seats in the courtroom in New York,” Swalwell said. “But, I know the Oversight Committee canceled the assembly that used to be supposed to happen at this time on this similar topic in order that they could be on the president’s trial. Mike Waltz (R-FL), Bob Just right (R-VA), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Michael Cloud (R-TX), and Andy Ogles (R-TN).

The various lawmakers spoke outside the New york courthouse the place they echoed Trump’s claims the trial is a “sham” and the decide is “corrupt.”
