Basketball-celebrity-became-shock-diplomat Dennis Rodman is talking out on his surprise North Korea consult with with the crew of HBO’s Vice past this year where he chatted and frolicked with Kim Jong Un. In a contemporary interview, Rodman says he doesn’t assume the North Korean chief is that unhealthy a guy, publicizes that he’s on a mission to “wreck the ice between adverse countries,” and says that he fully expects to get nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize the next time round.

Rodman gave an interview to Sports Illustrated the place he talks about his shuttle to North Korea. He found it totally exceptional that President Obama hasn’t engaged extra with Kim Jong Un, as a result of, as Rodman places it, “Reality is, he hasn’t bombed anyplace he’s threatened to yet. No longer South Korea, now not Hawaii, now not … no matter.” He calls on Obama to succeed in out to the North Korean leader, who really just desires to “talk basketball with Obama,” and be his “buddy.”

And Rodman plans to go back to North Korea, maybe spending some of it taking a summer vacation with Kim Jong Un and his family. Rodman explains why he has taken on this burden to be an unofficial U.S. envoy.

“My mission is to interrupt the ice between adverse international locations,” Rodman says. “Why it’s been left to me to clean issues over, I don’t understand. Dennis Rodman, of all individuals. Preserving us secure is in point of fact now not my job; it’s the black guy’s [Obama's] job. However I’ll tell you this: If I don’t finish within the prime three for the following Nobel Peace Prize, something’s severely mistaken.”
