Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said he despatched two planes to Texas to carry undocumented immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard “for Florida.”

DeSantis used $615,000 in taxpayer money to deliver just about 50 undocumented Venezuelan immigrants from Florida to the Massachusetts island. One of the immigrants have mentioned they were promised expedited work papers and job alternatives.

The governor has been floated as a potential 2024 presidential contender, and critics have claimed the transfer is a stunt to assist his political fortunes.

Showing on Fox Information on Monday, DeSantis defined his reasoning to Sean Hannity.
