With faculty football season simply over two months away, the desk of ESPN’s Faculty GameDay remains unsure with Pat McAfee yet to be re-signed.
Sources instructed The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand that McAfee’s future with the hit college soccer show is up within the air. He’s been a typical on GameDay for the ultimate two seasons.
Ahead of closing season had even wrapped up, McAfee admitted on social media that he hadn’t but re-signed for next season due to his polarizing nature with ESPN audiences. Based on a survey performed by The Athletic – which confirmed that nearly forty nine% of respondents didn’t like his inclusion on the convey – McAfee mentioned he heard the voices of his critics “loud and clear” and that he used to be aware he’s “no longer right for some crowds.”
As it currently stands, Faculty GameDay will return with Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso. Retired teach Nick Saban will even join the desk.
Regardless of ESPN’s determination, McAfee will nonetheless be a normal sight on the community. As Marchand stated, the licensing agreement that permits ESPN to broadcast The Pat McAfee Convey is cut loose his deal to seem on ESPN.
