Former Fox Information host and ex-Trump ally Geraldo Rivera entreated Latino voters to back Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump in a visceral reaction to racially charged remarks made at Republican nominee’s rally in Madison Sq. Garden.
Comic Tony Hinchcliffe led with a controversial opening with inflammatory jokes about Puerto Rico, describing it as “a floating island of garbage.” Trump’s marketing campaign staff even distanced themselves from the remarks, saying the views don’t symbolize those of Trump.
The jibe sparked rapid backlash online and resonated strongly with Rivera, who once counted himself amongst Trump’s supporters and took to social media to hit again: “Fuck these racists!”
