Republican Congressman Trey Radel announced throughout a press conference Wednesday night that he’ll be taking a leave of absence from Congress and might be in search of treatment for drug addiction, and pledged that all the way through that time he’s going to donate his earnings to charity.

Radel said on the outset, “I have let down our u . s ., I’ve let down our elements, I have let down my family.”

Radel was arrested ultimate month for cocaine possession, and all the way through the press conference he teared up as he requested his chums and elements for forgiveness. He mentioned, “I’m hoping my domestic, Southwest Florida, can forgive me for this. I’ve let them down.”
