Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong altered the lyrics of one the band’s most popular songs with a view to take a shot at Donald Trump right through their New Years Eve efficiency.
The band was featured in Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest for ABC, and their efficiency from Los Angeles consisted of American Idiot and various different songs from the album of the same title. The anthem is neatly known as a protest track, and the second verse of the tune usually goes like this:
Neatly, maybe I’m the f****t, America
I’m not part of a redneck agenda
Now everyone, do the propaganda
And sing alongside to the age of paranoia
For his or her New Years Eve efficiency though, the lyrics have been considerably extra pointed as Armstrong took goal on the MAGA movement:
Smartly, maybe I’m the f****t, The united states
I’m no longer a part of a MAGA agenda
Now all and sundry, do the propaganda
And sing alongside to the age of paranoia
Green Day has made their disapproval of Trump abundantly clear up to now, and this isn’t the primary time they’ve modified the lyrics of American Idiot to bash the former president.
Watch above by the use of ABC.
