Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld took problem with Conan O’Brien’s statement that political comedy is mainly dead, due to Donald Trump.

“that You could’t parody one thing that already has that crazy irregular form. It’s not that you can imagine,” O’Brien advised Kara Swisher. “So I all the time notion that once Trump got here alongside, what a lot of people have to revert to is, ‘Doesn’t he suck? I hate that man. He’s an asshole.’ And those aren’t jokes.”

On Friday’s The Five, Gutfeld made his own comedic declaration: “That is the funniest time to be alive,” including that “wokeism is like the largest, funniest factor ever.” He persisted:

But Joe Biden is a perfect target. Hunter [Biden] is a perfect target. Nancy Pelosi. The city’s descent into this criminal farce is a target. Climate trade wackos, gender Nazis. All of this stuff is ripe for comedy. But for these guys, it’s Trump or nothing.

As an alternative, you’ve gotten comedians who are in fact crying on air or doing propagandizing movies for vaccines. That’s why I think late-night is in a chaos. With the Exception of right here, the knives are out for [Jimmy] Fallon, they’re going after Bill Maher, as a result of I think he’s doing the correct factor. He is pronouncing, “We are hurting. All of these other folks, the caterers, you identify it, whatever, since the writers are upset.”

“I like Conan, but he’s somewhat late to this party,” Gutfeld concluded.

“In actual fact, the material about the woke crowd is obviously hilarious, proper?” Piers Morgan mentioned. “It’s funnier than the rest in the market. That You can’t out-humorous Trump when he wants to be. He’s funnier than all of them put together.
