The communications director for the Harris-Walz marketing campaign dismissed issues that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may provide former President Donald Trump’s marketing campaign a boost if he endorses him.

Mediaite’s Diana Falzone said on Wednesday that Kennedy is planning on losing his impartial presidential campaign and backing Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris. Kennedy has already introduced that he is speaking on Friday and his running mate Nicole Shanahan not too long ago revealed the marketing campaign was considering joining “forces” with Trump. Reports have indicated Kennedy met with Trump late remaining month a few that you can imagine endorsement and he later tried getting a an identical meeting with Harris’s workforce.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell requested Michael Tyler, communications director for Harris’s marketing campaign, about the stories on Friday and whether he’s “concerned” about polling indicating a Kennedy endorsement would improve Trump’s campaign.

“Are you taken with what we have now verified is going to happen, which is RFK Jr. dropping by the wayside probably day after today and certain endorsing Donald Trump and the entire polling indicates it could possible assist Donald Trump?” Mitchell asked.

Tyler accused Kennedy of being “propped up with the aid of MAGA donors” and declared that the Democrats’ message is “now not for” him.

“I don’t suppose it would be any surprise if he had been to drop out and advise Donald Trump. I believe our message, frankly, isn’t for RFK. It’s for the voters who are searching for a place to move,” he said. “I think what him dropping by the wayside absolutely cements that this election is going to be a call between Vice President Harris who is fighting for the American people [and] Donald Trump who, as I said prior, is solely combating for himself.”

Trump advised CNN this week he would “most probably” supply Kennedy  a role in his administration if the independent candidate backs him.

Kennedy has considered his toughen regularly decline, however polling suggests Republican voters are more receptive to him than Democrats. According to a July NBC News poll, 33% of Republicans said they considered Kennedy positively. Among Democrats, 53% stated they view him negatively.
