Charlamagne tha God on Thursday known as out the individuals who have misquoted a viral clip of Brian Kilmeade talking about Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the clip, which made the rounds on social media Wednesday, Kilmeade criticized Harris for her plan to deal with a “school sorority.” To a few, however, it seemed like Kilmeade mentioned, “colored sorority.”
The misquote resulted in a wave of online backlash, with outstanding Democrats and left-leaning media personalities even running with it. Kilmeade addressed the outrage on Fox & Pals on Thursday morning, pronouncing he used to be “not going to again off the rest I say” and that “the media will have to be responsible once they file things.”
Charlamagne thinks it’s a foul seem that individuals are “on the lookout for random acts of racism.”
“He said ‘school’!” Charlamagne stated on The Breakfast Membership, “and pay attention, Black folks, we’re gonna lose our minds on the lookout for random acts of racism and sexism. There’s going to be a number of blatant racism and sexism over the subsequent a hundred days, and it’s gonna be much more if Vice President Kamala Harris will get in the White Home. So I just assume we look ridiculous sitting round, making an attempt to determine whether a person mentioned ‘college’ or ‘coloured.’
“There’s a lot of blatant acts of racism and sexism that’s happening now and that’s gonna be happening. I’m now not sitting round, wasting my time looking to decide whether or not he said ‘faculty’ or ‘coloured.’ I felt like he stated ‘college.’”
