Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the co-chair of Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed 2024 presidential marketing campaign, was grilled via CNN anchor Jake Tapper on Thursday over how he “personally” obtained the election “so mistaken.”

Requested via Tapper how Harris did so poorly with Latino men, Garcia mentioned, “I imply, look, this clearly was once a rough night time for us nationally because it pertains to the presidency.”

He persevered, “I feel it’s a challenge. It is person who we’ve got to work on, the Democrats have to engage in. We must be on the bottom, we’ve to listen.”

Tapper then shot again, “I assume my query is, how did you for my part get it so improper? There’s a Latina producer on my personnel from Los Angeles who has been seeing this phenomenon of people in her community shifting proper for years. I don’t think she was stunned. I do know she wasn’t stunned by means of what took place. You had been. So, how did you get it so incorrect?”

I believe in particular for those of us which might be Latinos, these of us which are immigrants like myself, who came to this us of a, who labored onerous, whose domestic worked arduous searching for a better existence.”

He concluded, “I think there’s numerous work to do to ensure that we keep in touch to folks the Democratic Party is the celebration of working folks, is the celebration that supports immigrants, is the birthday party that helps the social security web.”

On Thursday, MSNBC host Joy Reid scolded Latinos who voted for President-elect Donald Trump, telling them, “You own everything that happens to your blended-standing families and to your other halves, sisters, and abuelas from here on in.”
