Fox contributors Brit Hume and Juan Williams clashed on Fox Information Sunday over delaying the individual mandate of the Reasonably priced Care Act, with Williams arguing that a less than perfect health care reform rollout was best to no health care reform in any respect, and Hume responding that a free individuals should be capable of display that preference through their purchases.

“What you’re pronouncing is opposite to the truth that a number of those younger folks don’t have insurance coverage,” Williams mentioned. “That is significantly better than not having insurance.”

“Excuse me, it’s significantly better than no longer having insurance coverage according to who?” Hume said. “In line with Giant Brother. For many of these people, younger and healthy and most unlikely to need medical care of just about any kind, now not having insurance coverage is a wonderfully rational possibility.”

“It’s not rational,” Williams stated. “These individuals are free riders on our insurance coverage system. Every time you go to the clinic or I go to the medical institution, we pay higher prices, we pay larger insurance premiums, because of these free riders. These people and not using a insurance need some confidence, that in the event that they get in poor health, if anything else occurs, they can go see a physician.”

“If they need it, they must be willing to pay for it,” Hume mentioned. “If they’re no longer willing to pay for it, it’ll well be that being free individuals, they felt free to make that option.”
