2 hundred and seventy “scientists, scientific experts, professors, and science communicators” are soliciting for Spotify add a misinformation policy for its platform due to Joe Rogan’s massively standard podcast The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

The “Open Letter to Spotify” calling for action towards Rogan came as a result of Rogan’s interview with Dr. Robert Malone. The Malone episode has been referred to as out for promoting conspiracy theories relating to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The letter states, “By using allowing the propagation of false and societally dangerous assertions, Spotify is enabling its hosted media to break public trust in scientific analysis and sow doubt within the credibility of knowledge-driven guidance supplied by way of medical experts.”

The letter continues to slam Rogan for his stance on Covid-19 therapies. “All the way through the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe Rogan has time and again unfold misleading and false claims on his podcast, upsetting distrust in science and drugs.
