CNN’s Erin Burnett couldn’t suppress her laughter after a visitor who helps Ron DeSantis for president defended his individuals skills – or lack thereof.

The Florida governor is predicted to problem former President Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination. Trump leads DeSantis bigly within the polls and has time and again attacked the governor.

On Friday’s OutFront, Burnett played a clip of billionaire Republican donor John Catsimatidis complaining that DeSantis isn’t returning phone calls.

“I’ve a number of Florida friends who helped him get elected, and he hasn’t again any of their calls,” Catsimatidis said. “Seem to be, he’s who he is. He’s a good American, but his individuals abilities are very, very bad… one buddy of mine stated he was sitting subsequent to him at dinner, he never mentioned one word!”

Burnett cited some other megadonor said he has doubts about the governor’s ability to win the White Home.

She grew to become to her visitor, GOP donor and DeSantis backer Dan Eberhart, and requested, “Does any of this offer you pause?”

“I’ve considered him in individual,” he answered. “I’ve viewed in action. I saw him within the 2018 [gubernatorial] marketing campaign. I think he’s an affable individual. He’s made me chuckle a pair times, however he’s a serious particular person. And I think that–”

“I’m kind of laughing,” Burnett interjected. “He’s made you chortle a couple occasions. I assume the bar is so low!”

“That’s no longer any individual that roughly suits this description,” Eberhart endured. “An important factor is, this is a two-person race. And this is going to be between Trump and Governor DeSantis.”

He concluded that Republican voters “are gonna wish to move ahead, now not backwards.”
