Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) launched an appeal for campaign donations this week with a collection of X/Twitter commercials calling on her supporters to “combat back in opposition to AIPAC and its darkish cash super PAC.”

In August, Jewish Insider said that AIPAC had “stepped up its recruitment efforts to problem Democratic incumbents who’ve clashed with the pro-Israel institution,” including Omar and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY).

In response, Omar rolled out a series of advertisements which accused AIPAC of “working across the clock to u.s. Ilhan from Congress” and spending “MILLIONS on attack advertisements to silence our movement.”

Omar has many times clashed with AIPAC and in 2021 her communications director accused the pro-Israel lobbying workforce of “hanging Rep. Omar’s life at risk with repeated Islamophobic assault advertisements.”
